Macaloney's

Audit Failure A single cask at 52.5% ABV, laid down seven years ago and promptly forgotten in the darkest corner of the maturation room, where it quietly turned into something weird, wonderful and entirely unexpected. A velvety hug of distant campfire smoke, sticky marmalade and dark chocolate-roasted almonds, ending on an unapologetic sherry kick. Turns out a little ghosting does a whisky good.

Buzz Cut A limited edition at 46% ABV, born when a local beekeeper turned up one afternoon with a jar of honey and no appointment, his bees having spent the season wandering Vancouver Island. A bright bouquet of honeysuckle and lemon zest melts into wildflower honey, banoffee pie and warm vanilla. The finish is long and floral, with clover honey and toasted vanilla.

Harvest Coast 2026 Canadian Single Malt Whisky of the Year, bottled at 50% ABV. Towering coastal pines and rich, sweet sherry lead the way before giving over to a gentle drift of peat smoke and a crisp sea breeze finish. The creamy sherried palate carries blackcurrant, papaya, dried apricot and candied fruits alongside wood smoke and lapsang souchong.

Triple Take A guaranteed crowdpleaser at 46% ABV, thrice as nice and soft as velvet thanks to triple distilling. Canadian Club and Alberta Distillers Ltd

Alberta Distillers Rare Batch The second release in our Rare Batch series, this expression features a pot distilled 100% Pure Rye Whisky that is aged in a combination of new charred White Oak and ex-Bourbon barrels. At the 10 year mark of aging, we open the barrels and add a splash of Sherry. Then seal them up for another 11 years, for a total of 21 years, and bottled at 50% ABV.

Ardbeg

Ardbeg Heavy Vapours A full blown Ardbeg. Intense, pungent and aromatic, with a distinctive farmyard aroma, along with a crunchy aroma, like creosote or tarry rope. The mouthfeel is warming with an initial burst of bittersweet flavours coal dust, cardamon, peppermint, eucalyptus, and more dark chocolate with some coffee grits. The aftertaste lingers long and bold with an ongoing, almost anaesthetising sensation.

Ardbeg Ten Years Old The giant of smoky complexity. On the nose, aromas of smoky fruit and zesty lemon and lime are chased by the tang of bold menthol and tarry rope. An explosion of crackling peaty flavours is followed by the tastes of a wave of brine infused with smooth buttermilk and ripe bananas.With water, an oceanic minerality brings a breath of cool, briny sea spray. The palate is coated with the essence of dry espresso and chewy peat oils in the long smoky finish.

Ardbeg Wee Beastie A monster of a dram. A frenzy of black pepper, melting tar and biting smoke, Wee Beastie proves that even hell has no fury like a very young, five-year-old Ardbeg. Rampaging through a cloud of peat and pine resin, it pounces onto the palate with a sucker-punch of chocolate before finishing off with the visceral tang of savoury meat.

Montfort This whisky literally has its roots in this beautiful land. A true single grain whisky, made from 100% barley, Montfort is grown, distilled and bottled entirely in one location. Each of the fields on the farm have specific soil classifications and different proximities to the sea and the forests. These micro regions produce barley grown in different ways, each with distinctive and unique flavor profiles. The outcome is a whisky of depth, subtlety and complexity. On the nose Montfort is light, floral and fruity. The palate is full of honey and raisins, with a creamy mouthfeel.
